Blanche Herdman, 89, of Cottageville, WV, departed this life June 22, 2004 in Jackson General Hospital, Ripley.
She was born January 11, 1915 in Jackson County, a daughter of the late, Holly and Lettie (Sayre) Hughes.
She was a homemaker and a charter member of the Evans Church of God.
Surviving are sons, Gene Herdman of Leon, and Denward "Dave" Herdman of Cottageville; daughters, Leota Miller and Sylvia Waldon both of Grove City, OH; 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Alley O. Herdman; brothers,Clifford, Blake and Don, and two grandsons.
Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, June 24, 2004 at the Evans Church of God with the Rev. Benjamin Riggleman officiating. Burial will follow in the Sayre Cemetery, Cottageville. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Casto
Funeral Home, Evans.
